Dedicated to the premise that locking up poor Elsie Ethrington (alias Sister Bertrille) in a convent in the same vicinity as her adoring Carlos Ramirez, is something worthy of contest under the Geneva Convention.

ALL UPDATED (NEW!)

Even the Flying Nun Series Guide spoke of Carlos' "complex" feelings for Sister Bertrille, but not even the series' creators gleaned the real source of the show's popularity among its core fans (10-21 year old girls): that virtually every girl watching the show desperately wanted to see Sister Bertrille leave the convent and marry Carlos Ramirez. The series tried everything -- singing, remote shoots, guest star shots with Elinor Donahue as Sister Bertrille's sister Jennifer making eyes at Carlos (hoping in vain they could move the fans' hearts in that direction), anything to make up for what their viewers wanted: Carlos and Elsie (Elsie Ethrington was Sister Bertrille's "civilian name"), happy at last..
Now, all these years later (after Mulder and Scully have gone down in fannish/shipper television history...and after Star Trek: Voyager has learned the folly of messing in the affairs of fen), the legacy of the little 'ship that could..."Carlos/Bertrille"...continues on.
